Introducing an art, design and craft liaison between Creative Peninsula and Tampere, a city, representing Finnish textile heritage, that also stages an Open Studio festival.
Showing creative outputs from the current interchange between Finnish artist, Pirjo Seddiki, and Creative Peninsula’s textile artist, Ruth Osborne.
Sharing sustainable ways forward in fibre-led textile innovation – through Sirpa Mörsky and Jane McCann’s investigation into Finland’s emerging biomaterials.
1.30pm-4pm: Informal Practical Experimentation
For those who wish to stay on - bringing sketch books and media of their choice – to take inspiration form studio space on the edge of a beach - to experiment with techniques and applications aided by textile-oriented art/design/craft practitioners.
Please bring a packed lunch and materials if staying for the workshop.
