Professional development

Throughout August a series of exciting, practical creative development opportunities will be taking place virtually as part of the Creative Peninsula festival. These sessions are aimed at professional and semi-professional visual artists and makers.

Bespoke training for creative practitioners

At Ards and North Down Borough Council we’re committed to supporting our resident artists and local arts organisations in a variety of ways.

Not only do we offer grants and bursaries, we also provide high-quality training to equip individual artists and arts organisations across all genres with useful skills to support their careers.

Developed and facilitated in partnership with experts in their field, the Professional Development programme delivers practical sessions specially designed to reflect the needs of our local arts sector.

All sessions are also subsidised to make them as accessible as possible.
