Gain a deeper understanding of drawing, and confidence to work from life in this workshop with artist Pandora Butterfield in the picturesque setting of the Walled Garden, Helen's Bay.
This workshop will be centred around a still-life setup and participants will be working directly from what is in front of them.
In sketchbooks we will develop work that investigates the rudiments of good drawing. We will look at composition, developing form, creating texture, light and tone. Developing a range of mark making using pencil and eraser to dramatic effect.
At the end of the workshop participants will have a deeper understanding of the drawing process and feel more confident and skilled in working from life.
Participants should bring a sketchbook A4 or bigger, 4B-9B pencils, sharpener and eraser
This workshop will take place 'alfresco' in the beautiful outdoor setting of the Walled Garden. In the event of bad weather the workshop will take place under cover. Please dress for the weather.
