Take this unique opportunity to interact with Artists and Makers who will be providing free demonstrations throughout the afternoon and some hands-on activity to try yourself.

You can also explore the collection at North Down Museum, visit the Creative Peninsula exhibition and enjoy a coffee at Coffee Cure!

Adele Pound

Making Paper Birds 

Cutting and assembling paper birds. Adele will demonstrate making one or more of her designs. Adele will also have some free kits for people to colour, cut out and make either on the day, or to take away with them.

Block Printed Banner 

Sarah will demonstrate the art of stamp carving and block printing on to fabric.  Visitors young and old can have a go block printing a fabric patch to take home with them.

Celtic Sheep 

Creating sheep with a Celtic twist to them.

Mini Applique Projects 

How Heather designs and produces mini applique designs and incorporates them into larger projects. Individuals can be given the opportunity to design and make their own.

Weaving my Happy Place 

Rosemary will bring along two small portable looms. On one she will demonstrate weaving, and the other will be for others to have a go on. Alongside will be a display of woven and spun items.

Printing with Plants

Rosy will demonstrate the art of monoprinting with plants . She will use dried flowers and leaves to create a colourful image to print onto handmade paper and cards. This will be an interactive demonstration and Rosy will be inviting onlookers to make a print or card.

Small Carving 

Wooden objects (hearts and birds) finished with sanding and beeswax. 

Wee Yarn Designs

Dorset Button Making  

Debbie will demonstrate the heritage craft of Dorset Button making. A selection of Dorset button jewellery and artwork will be on display as well as a selection of locally hand-dyed yarn. Visitors will be encouraged to have a go and take home their own completed button.

Thrown and Altered Lantern 

I would bring along pieces that have been thrown, and work on them to finish them.
