A Finnish/Irish Creative Liaison: Celebrating Natural Materials and Landscape

Following on from a 2023 British Council funded exchange between textile artist, Ruth Osborne and painter Pirjo Seddiki and an Arts Council NI supported project involving their hosts Jane McCann and Sirpa Morsky, this exhibition celebrates the merging of these projects in an ongoing collaborative interchange between Finland and Northern Ireland.

The makers are all driven by a love of the natural environment and innovative ways of working with natural materials. The results of these collaborations can be seen in a capsule garment collection by Sirpa and Jane featuring Pirjo and Ruth’s designs translated into textiles.
